Stainless Steel Tray

I bought this tray from Motta in December. I found some cute espresso cups + saucers on their site, and wanted to get a pair for Mackenzie. When I was browsing the rest of their website, I found this cute tray. Motta’s stuff is all stainless steel and therefore practically indestructible.

I like the utilitarian nature of stainless steel, and thought the baroque influences provided a compelling contrast. As you can tell, the thing is already scuffed up and dirty (despite me giving it a bit of a clean before taking the pic). I like when things patina and show their wear over time, and this will only get better with age.
